Indian poultry industry suffered huge crisis in early 1980s, as egg selling price has fallen down than the production cost.  Due to this crisis, poultry farmers shut down their poultry farming operation due to heavy loss.

Group of poultry farmers supported by Dr. B. V. Rao Ji, Ch. Jagapati Rao Ji and others travelled across the county to meet poultry farmers and traders, organizing over 300 meetings. Their main Objective – to unite poultry farmers from all over India with the slogan of “My EGG My Price”.  After massive effort, poultry farmers united to create a united organization to facilitate poultry farmers and traders in determining the egg rate. In May 1982, NECC was formally registered and started to declare egg prices.  NECC also called as National Egg Coordination Committee, played significant role for the betterment of poultry industry, by staying connected with poultry farmers, conducting various service like support operations, consumer education, egg promotion campaigns, marketing and research, rural marketing development, etc…
